Lake City v. Bolles Middle School Football

The Lake City Falcons swooped in from the west and preyed on the Bolles Bulldogs, ending in a 24-8 win for the visiting team. The single touchdown for Bolles in the second quarter was followed by a two point conversion; the Falcons made into the end zone four times but were not able to capitalize on their extra point attempts.

Ride For A Cure

Adamecs Harleydavidson on Bay meadows road hosted a Ride to Benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Pre-Ride activities were centered around a riding demonstration by JSO Drill team members.
Over 75 Bikers and Passengers went on a police escorted ride around Jacksonville. Lunch was served by Dick Wings after the ride with home made cake provided by Cindy Bishop.

Bill has cooked gumbo on stage for over 168,000 for free. He mixes his own spicy original music--Florida Slide Guitar Blues--and adds his famous Liquid Summer hot sauce right into every night's cooking demonstration of his own gumbo recipe. It's a multi-sensory soul shouting picnic of rock and roll brotherhood. And at the end of the night, everybody eats.

The Semi Annual White Trash Bash at Maverick's

Maverick's Rock N Honky Tonk on the second floor of the Jacksonville Landing hosted their semi-annual White Trash Bash and Home Made Bikini Contest Sunday Night.
People came out dressed in their best "Trailer Park" fashion and danced the night away on Mavericks dance floor while DJ Bobby Laredo played the latest Country Hits and Dance Music.

Local Stock Car Racers at Volusia Speedway

A handful of north Florida stock car racers, including the Carter family of Clay Hill; Jimmy, Jackie and Jamie, plus Middleburg's Mark Whitener, trekked down to Volusia County Speedway in Ormond Beach for some old-fashioned night time dirt track racing. John Kellum of Jacksonville and Whitener battled bumper to bumper to go one-two in the Late Model feature race. The Carters raced in the Modified Feature race. MOre photos to be added.

Tattoo Convention at the World Golf Village

The buzz of Tattoo Guns filled the air as Artists applied ink to skin at the Renaissance Resort Convention Center at the World Golf Village. Many Tattoo Parlors from the Jacksonville area were represented including; Bent Needle from Orange Park, Inksmith And Rogers Tattoo, A Fu Kein Good Tattoo and Caribbean Connection from Jacksonville and InkStainz tattoo from Jacksonville Beach. Over 40 artists could be observed working in booths set up inside the Convention Center as people filed by watching fantasy come to life in form and flesh.
Bands took the stage in the Budweiser room as Tattoos were judged across several categories next door. Were you spotted?
