Bolles Bulldogs Back To Winning Ways

The Bolles Bulldog football team had a bit of a time in the first half of their season opener with feisty Archbishop Carroll High School of Miami, but strong running in the second half fueled a 42-32 win Friday night.
Adamec Harley Davidson of Baymeadows hosted their annual Muscular Dystrophy fundraiser ride Monday morning with a quick jaunt down I95 south to 9A North over the Dames Point Bridge where they turned around and headed back on 9A south to Butler Blvd and back to Baymeadows. Nearly 250 bikers participated in the event which was the culminating event for the 3-day 105th anniversary celebration.
Harley Davidson of Baymeadows celebrated the 105th Anniversary of the legendary motorcycle with a visit via the Shriners Club and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department of reknowned Elvis Presley impersonator Rick Marino during the Saturday celebration.
The Anti-Gravity Pole Vault Club hosted a the Labor Day Lakeshore Vault at the Shepherd of the Woods Lutheran Church in Mandarin.

JCP Cares Back-To-School Fashion Show

Hundreds of people gathered at the Avenues Mall Belk Department Store on August 10 for the JCP Cares Back-To-School Fashion show featuring 18 kids from the Julington Creek Plantation area who modeled back-to-school fashions for the charity event. All proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the Guardian Ad Litem program which will help needy children purchase back to school clothing.

Saturday morning a 5K race started at Baymeadows Road and San Jose Blvd. The third race within 24 hours concluded with a one mile sizzler at the Jacksonville Landing. Hutchings, a financial planner in Orange Park, was feted by Florida State Senator Steven R. Wise, District 5 Republican.
